Control

Back in 2010, just before the last general election, Medway Council demolished the Aveling and Porter building, a heritage site. Many felt that the building should be preserved, perhaps as a heritage museum. The council thought a car park would be much nicer, at least until there’s money to be made from development.

Will the forthcoming election result in no single party holding overall control of the council?

A lot of work goes into keeping The Political Medway running. We are a volunteer based, non-profit project, and yet we are still trying to produce daily content, cover council meetings as they happen, as well as provide as much information about elections as possible. If you appreciate what we do, please consider making a small donation – one-off or monthly – via Ko-fi to help us cover our costs and keep this ridiculous project going.
