Once upon a time in Medway…
Keevil found himself in the political wilderness during the 2014 European elections and Rochester & Strood by-election. He knew he wanted to be involved but wasn’t sure how to go about it.
Following a conversation with fellow beardy man Medway Labour Group leader Vince Maple, Keevil knew he wanted it to be something informed, with questions, answers and sarcasm. The best bet was to be ignored online.
Keevil knew he would need support and cynicism. The best person for the job was Jennings. Unfortunately Jennings had abandoned Medway for the North London liberal elites.
There was only one thing for it, entice him back with tea and wifi.
The Centre and What’s Left was born. Realising the name was a bit unwieldy, it was changed to the no less unweildy The Political Medway.
So here we are.
The Political Medway is a non-profit website attempting to cover local politics. Our office is pretty much the Chatham Starbucks, and their drinks are not cheap. If you enjoy our content, please consider supporting us by buying us a hot drink via Ko-fi.
